Ads for Sale:
Any item(s) that was(were) solely for a person’s own personal use.
Full time/part time employment offered by a company.
Any business offering its services in exchange for payment.
Ads Wanted:
Any item(s) wanted for a person's own private use.
Ad Notices:
Any notice(s) placed for a person's own private use
Your Advert
By submitting your advert online you are requesting that your advert appears
in UKAdCentre.co.uk.
The advert will not appear until we have verified and accepted your advert copy.
We will only have to contact you (by return e-mail address, if supplied) if we are
not able to accept the advert copy.
Your advert copy (including text and photographs) must be legal, decent, honest
and truthful and comply with the British Code of Advertising Standards Authority.
We may amend the advert to ensure compliance with such requirements.
We are not able to verify the truthfulness of any statements made by you in your
advert copy. Accordingly, you shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other
costs incurred by us which are caused by an untrue statement deliberately made or
provided by you.
The copyright in all adverts shall be owned by us and you hereby assign all such
copyright to us.
Your Personal Data
By submitting your advert, you are requesting that your advert appears on our
Website. This means that the advert, including your telephone number and company
details (where applicable), can potentially be viewed by all persons with Internet
access throughout the world.
Changes, Cancellations and Interruptions
You have the right to cancel the advert for any reason at any time.
It is technically impossible to provide a Website free from interruptions and (except
to the extent that interruptions are caused by our negligence) we do not guarantee that
your advert will be provided continuously or free of faults. In addition, we will need
to carry out maintenance of the Website from time to time and in doing so we shall attempt
to keep the disruption to your advert to a minimum.
English Law
These terms and conditions and the contract of which they form a part shall be governed
by English law.
Unacceptable Adverts
• Shotguns, handguns, rifles, and other firearms including ammunition, de-activated
weapons, replicas and antique guns are not acceptable.
• Private ads must not be placed in the Services Classifications. These classifications
are reserved for service ads only (trade).
• Adverts will not be accepted without a price, 'best offer secures' or 'make me an offer'
are not acceptable.
• Adult videos/material are not acceptable.
• Adverts requiring home workers are not allowed.
• Models wanted by amateur photographers are not acceptable. However, models required
by registered model agencies are acceptable, transfer to Trade.
• Masseurs and beauty therapists need to produce proof of training/registration before
advertising in the business section. Please email or send a copy of your certificate to
your nearest centre.
• No magpies, chicks or eggs.
• Tortoises cannot be accepted without relevant documentation. Please email or send
a copy of the documentation to your nearest centre.
• No cash offers in council exchange ads.
• No adverts for smart cards for satellite systems (D2 Mac decoder).
• No ITV digital cards, top box systems.
• No adverts for real fur items of clothing.
• Sony PlayStation games on silver disc, modification or convertor chips for Sony
PlayStation or Software copied onto blank CD's.
• Copies, i.e. jewellery, CD's, clothes, perfume, it is illegal (As advised by
Trading Standards).
• Cigarettes, cigars or alcohol. We are not licensed to sell these goods. (As advised
by Trading Standards).
• CB radios - Superstar 360, President Lincoln, Sideband radios, CB radios with
AM facility, Colt 1200 DX with low/med/high frequencies, Long range cordless phones,
video senders. Radios with 80 channels are illegal.
Dangerous Dogs Protocol
UKAdCentre.co.uk in conjunction with other classified advertisers has agreed to abide
by the recommendations of the Pets Advisory Advertising Group. Made up of The Kennel Club,
Battersea Dogs Home, Dogs Trust, the RSPCA, Cats Protection League and others.
Under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 it is an offence to advertise the following breeds.
• American Pitbull Terrier
The agreement is that we will not accept advertising for any crosses of the above breeds,
or alternative naming conventions for the above breeds.
In addition we will not accept advertising for breeds that imply that they have been
specifically bred for aggression or dog fighting
In addition to this we can only advertise
Tickets can only be advertised at face value or below. The face value must be stated
within the text of your advert.
UKAdCentre.co.uk reserve the right to refuse to publish any advertisement without
ascertaining any reason, and to classify, edit and delete at its sole discretion.
The placing of any advert is an acceptance of these conditions.
